On Alfred Gauthier, Mayor of Le Val and President of SIVU and Michael Latz, Mayor of Correns and President of the ICTIC’s initiative, the representatives of 13 communes, which at that time had adhered to the Tourist information bureau of Pays de Sainte Baume -Brignoles, - Val d’Argens have wished, in March 1995, to create an inter-commune tourist information centre. Since 1995, 16 communes have joined La Provence Verte. Today, they are 29 communes which have joined the Inter-Commune Tourist Information Centre. Since 2002, the setting up

of the Communities of Communes is giving to the ICTIC a new dimension while, at the end, 37 communes should be involved.

The Inter-Commune Tourist Information Centre is located at La Maison du Tourisme in Brignoles and provides :

A welcome reception/information desk,
The promotion-communication,
Marketing,
Inter-commune action.
